Through this, a Community based Teacher or Akshar Sathi will identify non-literate
adults in the community and run adult literacy classes at a common place.
Each Akshar Sathi will teach 30 to a maximum of 40 Adult non-literate in a
community centre for a minimum of 60 session, considering each session to be
maximum of 1 hour duration.
Akshar Sathi will solely teach using the Adult Literacy Tool-kit developed by ILM.
